What is the warranty?
Warranty Coverage
Future Shield guarantees the vehicle’s exterior painted surface coated with Future Shield Nanoceramic Coating against environmental damage such as bird droppings and bug splatter. Subject to the terms and conditions herein, should such damage occur, Future Shield will undertake necessary rectification and reapplication of the coating.
Warranty Duration
Future Shield offers a lifetime warranty for the coating, conditional upon the vehicle remaining under the original ownership and adherence to annual service requirements. Failure to comply with annual maintenance schedules will limit the warranty to a fixed term of five years from the date of the last service, after which the warranty is conclusively terminated.
General Conditions
The warranty is valid only if the vehicle is continuously registered for road use within Australia.
This warranty exclusively pertains to passenger vehicles. Commercial vehicles are not covered under this warranty.
In the case of damage or the need for repair to the coated surface (e.g., due to an accident), the vehicle must undergo reapplication of the coating on the repaired areas at the owner’s or insurer’s expense within 45 days of repair.
The warranty is non-transferable and is assigned to the vehicle owner at the time of the nanoceramic coating application.
Maintenance of the vehicle’s exterior paintwork according to Future Shield’s recommended practices (e.g., regular washing) is required to prevent contamination build-up and ensure warranty validity.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from negligence, lack of maintenance, or improper care of the vehicle’s exterior.
- Pre-existing damages to the paint surface prior to the application of Future Shield coating.
- Damage from improper washing techniques, abrasions from automatic car washes, or use of contaminated washing tools.
- Cosmetic damages such as swirl marks, scratches, chips, and etching.
- Failures of the clear coat not related to the nanoceramic coating application, including peeling and fading.
- Damage from external events including, but not limited to, collisions, vandalism, natural disasters, and manufacturer or dealership defects.
Annual Service Requirement
To uphold the lifetime warranty, an annual service conducted by Future Shield or an authorized service provider is required. This service must be completed within 30 days before or after each anniversary of the application date. Failure to comply will adjust the warranty period to a fixed five years from the date of the last service.
Limit of Liability
Warranty claims must be reported to Future Shield within 30 days of the issue being noted. Future Shield reserves the right to assess and determine the validity of all claims, which may result in reapplication of the coating or a refund of the application cost up to a maximum of $1500, terminating the warranty thereafter.
Governing Law
This warranty and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of Australia, and the parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
